Tivoli 40 minutes far from Rome is a favourite resort for Roman citizens.
We will arrive at the bottom of Tivoli stopping at Hadrian's Villa where your driver will inform you about all the most important information and then You will be able to visit Hadrian's Villa renting, if you like, an audioguide.
Hadrian's Villa, the largest palace of the Roman Empire. Hadrian Emperor ordered the construction of his countryside villa reproducing there all the nicest things he saw during his travels abroad.
Will then drive up in town to visit Villa D'Este:
villa d'Este is one of the nicest Baroque gardens all over Italy. Beautiful garden, fountains are the prime attraction of this gorgeous summer villa built in 1550 for Cardinal Ippolito D'Este.
The courtyard which corresponds to the present entrance of the villa, was the cloister of a Benedectine convent incorporated in the monumental building of the villa.
After the visits, you will have time for a local typical lunch (not incld.) and for shopping (Leather, cameos, Travertine Marble items).
In the afternoon you will be driven back to your Hotel in Rome.
